Blog Hop 53

Welcome to yet another Inkspired Artists bloghop, you have most likely come from my friend Maree and I wonder what she has created for us today.

Great sketch that Teneale  has given us to work with, don’t you just love her work?

I decided to use the Birthday Blooms as my stamp set, its lovely to water color and always look great.  I used Watermelon Wonder as the main color for the flower and Delightful Dijon for the centres.  The leaves were colored with the Cucumber Crush, not a color that I have used a lot, however as it was St Patricks Day this week and there is a lovely young girl at work who is having a birthday in April and she is Scottish I thought it only fitting to make it for her.  Hope she likes it.
I have used the Cucumber Crush as the main card base and the paper is from the in color designer Series paper stack, which will be retiring this year.
Enjoy and don’t forget to leave a comment, even one word is fine.
Now your off to see what Teneale has made for you, I was lucky to see it and your going to love it.

If you not sure what that is?  well if you spend 90.00 in either the seasonal or annual catalogue you choose an item from free from the Sale a Bration catalogue.  If you don’t have one, I am sure your demonstrator could send one to you.

You may have come from Maree’s blog and I do wonder what she has in store for us today.

I decided that would showcase the Carried Away Designer Series Paper from the Sale A Bration catalogue and team it with two stamp sets out of the Occasion Catalogue, they are the Lift me Up Bundle that has wonderful hot air balloons.

esad-hot-air

I love the details on the cut out hot air balloon, which I put some whisper white behind and mounted it onto the clouds designer papers.

esad-ballon-fullI then used the stamps and stamped out the hot air balloons then used the dies to cut them out.  Very happy with how easy, yet nice they looked.

esad-another-year-fullI then switched to The Balloon adventures, still using the Carried Away Designer Papers.  Not sure if you picked it up, but I have embossed the greeting with Watermelon Wonder using the ink and clear embossing power, I must say I love embossing and now I am able to emboss in any colour I want.

Now your off to see what Lou has made for us.  Don’t forget to leave comments we all love them.

INKspired Blog Hop 44

Welcome to the INKspired Artist 44 Blog Hop, I am so happy to be participating in these hops.  You might have come from Louise Sharpe and I am sure you love what she has made.
Barbara Williams
Here is the sketch that we had to work with, designed by Teneale Williams, I  was excited to use it was I had done a water-colour class this week and wanted to try it out for myself.  Don’t you just love learning something new?  Yes even at my great old age…………..lol.

bloghop-44Here’s what I made and I love it, its was so relaxing to do.

Barbara Williams Water ColourI use the Penned and Painted Stamp Set on shimmer White Cardstock, using white embossing power to stamp down the flowers and leaves, one at a time.  Have you found how when using versa mark on white, it’s rather hard to see where you have stamped.

Here is a closer look at just how it looks, where you can see the beautiful details.

Barbara Williams Detail shot

I choose to use some of the softer colours of Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz, sponging over each of the area’s with a sponge. after I had sprayed it lightly with water.  Next I used the aqua marker to highlight the flowers, you can make these as light or as dark as you want.

Your now off to see what Teneale has made for you.  Don’t forget to leave some comments for the girls, we all love comments.
