Inkspired blog hop 149

Hi and welcome to another blog hop of the Inkspired Artists. Time is flying by and before we know it its going to be Christmas, so what better to make than a Christmas Card.

I choose to use the Poinsettia Petals Stamp and Dies on page 92 of the Annual Catalogue. I used a 1/2 sheet of White cardstock and sponged about two thirds of it with Cherry Cobbler ink on rest I sponged with Old Olive ink.

Using the dies with the insert and outlines I die cut the petals and lives, not the leves where stamped before cutting.

I made the Poinsettia Petals the my shape, the white and the piece across the front and the picket at the bottom of the white.

Lets go see what Julie has made for you.

Gifting Dies

Help me, I have forgotten what week we are up too. I do know that they are galloping away at an unbelievable pace.

Sorry we are late this week as my little Baby Bear has not been well.

This week its the Gifting Dies that are on page 61 of the Christmas Cattie. We both loved the little slay and Santa, thus only having them.

I had in my mind that I wanted to have Santa flying through the trees as he delivered all the children’s presents so choose to use the beauty of the Earth Designer Series papers as a foundation.

Whilst there are trees on the paper, i tool the Beauty of Friendship stamps and stamped them onto the designer papers.

I then attached Santa to the front, for the inside I just put a sentiment and some threes

The next card was quite simple and with both cards I have used the sentiments front eh Christmas to Remember set out of the Christmas Cattie on page 19.

Now here is my little Santa, standing so proudly in the middle of the card. Super cute.

Anther greeting from the Christmas to Remember.

Now lets see what Teneale has for you.

Non Traditional Christmas.

What a great idea to have a non Traditional Christmas Blog Hop and I am so pleased that this year Stampin Up has brought out some amazing bundles.

I choose to use the Whimsy and Wonder Bundle and as the paper is so beautiful I had that the feature of my card.

Soft Succulent is the base for the card and then Misty Moonight which has the Designer paper attached to it.

Rather special greeting, embossed in Silver and die cut out before attaching with dimensionals to the front.

The inside has a strip of the designer paper at the bottom and one of the bubbles has been fuzzy cut.

I hope you enjoy the hop and lets see Julie Martin has made for us>

Trees in Nature

Welcome to our 79th blog hop, amazing.  I hope your all had a lovely weekend, I know I did, some of my lovely ladies from my Friday class came to my place for their 4th Saturday class, it’s a lovely relaxing afternoon, sharing our love of stamps.

Teneale always makes a sketch for us to give us some direction and allows us to extend our creativity by designing a card around this sketch.

Heres what I came up with, using a rather fun technique that I had used in one of my classes with autumn leaves, so I knew that the Rooted in Nature stamp set would be just great.

Little tip for you, if you decide to use glue to attach the oval onto another oval, then as it’s not sticking just how you want it to, DO NOT, stick it under your craft mat.  It gets moisture in and sucks some of the color off your work.  Me I just thought that it added character.

On the inside, I used my Stampin’ Markers to color the tree, and the little greeting.

Hope I can encourage your creativity and have a great week, your now off to check out Teneale’s card, I have seen it and its awesome.

Welcome to the INKspired Artist 44 Blog Hop, I am so happy to be participating in these hops.  You might have come from Louise Sharpe and I am sure you love what she has made.

Here is the sketch that we had to work with, designed by Teneale Williams, I  was excited to use it was I had done a water-colour class this week and wanted to try it out for myself.  Don’t you just love learning something new?  Yes even at my great old age…………..lol.

bloghop-44Here’s what I made and I love it, its was so relaxing to do.

Barbara Williams Water ColourI use the Penned and Painted Stamp Set on shimmer White Cardstock, using white embossing power to stamp down the flowers and leaves, one at a time.  Have you found how when using versa mark on white, it’s rather hard to see where you have stamped.

Here is a closer look at just how it looks, where you can see the beautiful details.

Barbara Williams Detail shot

I choose to use some of the softer colours of Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz, sponging over each of the area’s with a sponge. after I had sprayed it lightly with water.  Next I used the aqua marker to highlight the flowers, you can make these as light or as dark as you want.

Your now off to see what Teneale has made for you.  Don’t forget to leave some comments for the girls, we all love comments.

INKspired Artist Blog Hop 26

Here we go it’s a long weekend and John’s birthday so its been a busy day stamping on Saturday.  If your come from another blog your most likely arrived here from the super talented Louise  and I know that she will have blown you away with what she has created.  If your backed up your most likely come from another super talented person and that’s Teneale.  Wow I feel rather special today to have two talented artists around me.  Maybe it might rub off on me.

Enough ideal chatter, lets look at this sketch and see what we should do with it.  I for one rather liked it and once I have the colours I took off  like a rocket.

I choose to use the definitely Dahlia stamp set as I thought its a nice large stamp and if it was stamped down then it could be sliced in two.  Then looked for a sentiment that would go with it, come look at what I have done.

Definitely Dahlia | Word of TruthBarbara Williams | Stampin UP | Sydney |Definitely Dahlia | Word of Truth

I have two sisters and I wanted them to both know that I love them, as we get older we don’t often think to tell people that we care.   I choose to use the Words of Truth to tell them to Remember that I love them.

Blue and Pink

On the front I embossed the word “Remember” and on the inside I have put the words “I love you”.   Such a small sentence but for me a very important one, we don’t see each other lots as life is hectic and taken up with my off springs.

Now its time to nick over and see what Teneale has in store for you.  Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to leave a comment or two.  Actually I am not begging one,s fine.
