Blog Hop #33

Barbara WilliamsWelcome to the 33 Blog Hop of the Inkspired Artists for this week.  I hope you enjoy what we have made to inspire you with your crafting.  If your already started on this weeks hop, your most likely come from my friend Maree, I am excited to see what she has for us this week, and she always have some lovely little creatures featured on her page.  Makes me long for a visit to the country.

This is the sketch that Teneale has designed for us.  I liked it, I find if I have a sketch given to me, I am then able to whip up a card easier than having to think WHAT will I do?  Does that make sense?

33 Blog Hop

At work there is this lovely lady that I works in the back office.

She is always cheerful as well as helpful to everyone who had a birthday whilst I was on Christmas break.  Now it was a big one, so it deserves a special card, just like she is.  So let’s go look at the card I have made for her.

Barbara Williams

Because I wanted to use her age as the focal point, I choose the Number of Years Stamp Set and the Large Numbers Framelits Dies.  Let me say, I love love love the Number Framelits as you can stamp the numbers and the cut them out, or you can use designer paper and just cut them out.  I am sure you would be able to come up with options.

The set also has some flowers and leaves, allowing you to stamp straight onto your cardstock, using different colors.  The beauty of using Photopolymer stamps, its easy to know where to stamp the flower within the stems of the flower.

Now there as been some debate as to whether I have used my balloon paper the right way round.  Family looked at them and said you have your put your designer paper on upside down.   Now I think they think that the balloons have helium in them, however I am poor and cannot afford that, so I thought that the balloons where just blown up and tied with ribbons.

Leave me a comment on who is right, ME or the family for a surprise.

Thanks for dropping bye and now off to Teneale and yet another beautiful card.

  1. Barb I just love love your card it is beautiful! Those balloons to me look like they are upside down – sorry Barb.
    No animals this fortnight…

  2. Wonderful card Mum, I am still thinking the balloons are going the wrong way but what do I know. This card is just so pretty. Love you.

  3. I too love that DSP! Iv had so much fun playing with it. I also love this stamp set n combo. I haven’t had time to play with it yet, But I had to have it!! Lovely lovely card Barb I Love the colours n that you have shown how versitle that set it!

  4. What lovely colors you’ve chosen for this card. I’m changing my mind on these large numbers because of cards like yours.

And, unfortunately, I have to side with your family on the issue of the balloons. They look like they are floating up into the sky, not lying on the ground. 😦

  5. when i first looked at them they did appear to be upside down, but your explanation makes sense to me, or the helium could have leaked out…..or the balloons could be sleeping…lots of reasons for upside down balloons!!! anyway, lovely card.
