Hello friends, if your landed on here, you have most likely come from Teneale Williams- and this is the second Blog Hop for the INKspired Sketch Blog Hop. I know you will have enjoyed her card and I welcome you back to view our cards again this fortnight.
What have you been doing for World Card making day? Some of the INKspired group grouped for a afternoon of Stamping and Blending, then Pizza, music and more stamping. The whole days has been a rather relaxing day one of lots of card making, eating and stamping with some loud, laughing and bold comments.
This is the challenge layout for this week and I really wished I had payed more attention to the sketch, instead of having this creation in my head. Big mistake, I had half created this amazing card because in my head it was just a bit across the top and a couple of tags hanging down. Right, well that’s what I had thought. Imagine my surprise when Teneale say it and goes, “What are you doing, that wasn’t the sketch for this week, how will you pull all of that together?”
Yeap, I had started doing this amazing card using the Striped Scallop Die which I love. For anyone who doesn’t know it, it goes on your card to make a landscape card, not portrait. Back to the drawing board for me, come see what I have made.
Using Shelli’s stamp set “I love Lace” as a background, I versa marked it then embossed with Clear embossing power on Blackberry Bliss, one of the new in colours. I had originally used the I love lace stamp inked up with Blackberry Bliss and stamped on whisper white cardstock for the top panel and I wanted to use some butterflies on the front. Long story short, I didn’t like it and in the bin they went. I was still able to ring in the Striped Scallop Die to form the scallop on the bottom white along with some beautiful silver ribbon. I then stamped and embossed the word Congratulations in Silber embossing powder above the ribbon and after attaching a beautiful button, they finally shredded some of the ribbon to for the downward hang to represent the idea of something hanging on underneath.
Girls, did I get it right now? Hope so. Mum sorry about the butterflies, I know that they were to represent you, I can see them, can you. Loved your advise, miss you.
