As the weather is starting to get slightly warmer, decided that it was time to invest in a new water cooler, so had gone shopping for one, instead found this cute little Sketch Journal in KMart and thought I could have a go at covering this with the beautiful new “Fan Fair” paper on page 165 of the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue for 2012-2013, its one of my favourites and I knew that Teneale also liked it, she had covered a tin that she puts on the table when people attend her classes. So thought I could make the journal to match.
Now we call her Ten, so was able to use the Broadsheet Alphabet in the clearmount set #1205858 on page 145. Cost is $60.95 and the greeting from the “Trust God” stamp set, #126702 which is $27.95. The greeting I used was “God has given us two hands – one to receive with and the other to give with” – Billy Graham.
Both the name and greeting were embossed with the New Espresso Embossing Powder. Just a little suggestion of you buy a cheap book with a plastic cover, PLEASE emboss your paper before attaching to the cover, the heat gun just loved trying to curl my front page.
Hope you enjoyed looking and as Teneale didn’t feel well, am sure me popping in with a little gift made all the difference to her.
Hi Barb, I hope Teneale’s spirit picked up when she received your lovely gift. This is a lovely journal and I was only thinking I must buy myself one as I have lots of notes, techniques and ideas written on envelopes, receipts and scraps of paper around the house! Something needs to be done and you are my saviour. Hooray! TFS and thanks for the tip on heat embossing…one for the journal. I do love the look of Early Espresso embossing powder. Again, TFS.
This is beautiful Barb. I only looked closely at this DSP yesterday and thought how lovely it is. I’m sure Ten will love it!

She does thanks Lou, trust your party is great today.
Thanks Barb for the great tip about embossing the DSP first before sticking it to the front of the book. You now have me looking at this DSP more, may have to order some.. Hope Ten is feeling better.
