12 Weeks of Christmas Part 1

12 Weeks of Christmas With Barbara and Teneale Williams

Hard to believe that there is only 12 weeks until Christmas!  Can you believe it?

I know I had trouble getting my head around this as Teneale bounced this suggestion off me.  We are going to bounce around and from each other until Christmas.  Each week we will choose a stamp set to use to use, it might give you all an idea or two for your own Christmas Cards.

This week we are using the Merry Patterns Hostess Set, which is set that you can get for free when hosting a Workshop of $450.00, its an extra in addition to your hostess rewards.   Another way to earn this set is if you shop online(click HERE) using the hostess code V72FJ9MF in October your name will go into a draw to win one.

Stampin' Up! Merry Patterns

I bounced a few ideas around, most of them ended up in the bin……………lol  as I then decided to do simple and elegant, as I love embossing cards, knew I could be on a winner.  Using Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White cardstock and a little designer paper at the bottom.

Then thought I would like to have a go at embossing and embossing folder.  I often use a ink pad to color the card stock and had thought that if I used Versamark on the folder, then put it through the BigShot I could then get the embossing powder to stick to it.

Big mistake, don’t try it, it didn’t work.  I then took the Versamark directly to the embossed cardstock, sponged it over and added the gold embossing powder than heat embossed it.  Am pleased with the result, I then embossed the greeting and attached to the bottom of it.By Barbara Williams | Merry Patterns Hostess Stamp Set 2017 | All Stampin' Up! Materials I stamped the outline candles on a piece of whisper white card stock, then used the other two stamps to color the candles, it’s quite easy to do if you stand up and look over your area that your stamping on as the stamps are clear and you are able to position them easier.  Same with the flame, just stand and stamp.
