Thanks for your help-Awash with Flowers

Recently there were some Council Elections and my daughter being the kind person that she is, plus being the President of the P&C ran a BBQ at South St Marys Public School as a fund-raiser.  She had lots of great helpers on the day and wants to write a note of thanks to them.

Isn’t she lucky that she has such a great mum to make her some cards.  I made her some for the ladies using the retired Stamp Set called “Awash with Flowers” its such a great stamp set and you can be sure that I will be using it again soon.  If you would like one of your own sets, please contact me for a great price on this set which i still have in my stash.

I used the Very Vanilla Cardstock mounted on Marina Mist.  Bye for now

Welcome Christmas

Read somewhere that we only have 100 days until Christmas, so what a great time to start to make some Christmas Cards for our special friends, who appreciate beautiful hand-made cards.

For this set we embossed the family and tree in Silver Embossing, looks great doesn’t it.  Stampin’ Up! have now brought out lots of Framelits, I used the Apothecary Accents Framelits, $42.95, page 191 of the New Catalogue and the “Perfect Polka Dots Folder” $13.95,  you can find this on Page 189.

Pear – Faith in Nature

Here again is an other card that we shared in my class at the Creative Spirit Centre. using a Hostess set for the retired catalogue.

We welcome new students all the time, why don’t you come and meet my lovely ladies and learn some new techniques.  On this card we used the gorgeous pear, which we embossed and stamped.  Also used the gorgeous French Foliage, which we are very fortunate that it carried over into the new catalogue.  You can find on Page 86 of the new catalogue.

Leaves Faith in Nature

The ladies in my class on a Friday, love embossing and so do I. Another favourite of mine as would say, “mum you just love your little squares”.

I used the leave out of the “Faith in Nature” set which was a hostess stamp set in the Stampin Up Catalogue for 2011-2012.

I loved the saying on it, “Keep your Faith in beautiful things: in the sun when it is hidden, in the spring when it is gone.” By Roy R Gilson.

I do hope you like it and don’t forget you can adopt this for any stamp set.

3 Minute Thank You Cards

My daughter Terriane is the President of her daughters local school P&C and is very grateful for the assistance that she receives from other parents.  She will often ask, Mum do you have any cards that I could have, preferably Thank You ones. Me being the great mum I am will go and make her some, makes me get better and she loves them.

These are just so easy to make, my motto is keep it simple and simple are these cards. I used Stampin’ Up! Natural Ivory as my base card stock and took a piece of designer paper, cut to fit the top of my card front. Before attaching it to my card, I wrapped a piece of twine around and made a small bow on it to add some texture. Took a leaf out of the French Foliage Stamp Set.

This is one of the most versatile sets it can be used on many layouts. Would also be great on your scrapbook pages.

Autumn in Paris

This is another set made with the very versatile French Foliage. I also used the Artistic Etchings Stamp Set.

Again using the triple layer effect, but only using monochromatic system using cream cardstock and Soft Suede ink. I do hope you like it.

If you would like to learn this technique, please contact me and book a party with me. I would be more then happy to come long and make this card with your friends and you.

Delicate Doilies Triple Layer

I have seen lots of cards made with this triple layer effect. It’s just so easy to create a quick card that looks so effective. I choose the Delicate Doilies set, no 122592 on page 110 of the new 2012-2013 Catalogue, $29.95.

If you would like to know how to make this, just ask. Want to have a social gathering with some friends, then I am happy to come and teach you all how to make your own card. It’s a lovely way to spend some quality time with your friends. No experience is needed as I will bring all the materials and equipment.

Another Awash with Flowers.

Thought I would show another one of the beautiful Awash with Flower Cards that we recently made.

Colours used were Very Vanilla and the very nice Marina Mist.  Just such a lovely easy card.

Countryside old Truck

This is a brand new Stampin’ Up! stamp set to Australia, although I was fortunate to have a friend buy it for me who lives in Springfield and when she came to visit her husband brought it with her. How lucky am i to have friends in the right place, you might say. You can view this stamp set on page 85 of the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue for 2012 – 2014. In this set is also an  old water pump, wooden wheel barrow, an apple and an old chook. I love-making either male cards or flowers, funny mix, isn’t it.

I also used the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, which you would find on page 33 of the new Holiday catalogue.  Love the feel and look of it, will become one of my most favourite folders.

Colours used were Cajun  Craze and Early Espresso cardstock and the Natural Ivory.  Stamped the truck and then water coloured it.  Looks good, doesn’t it.
