Sketch 11

Lets see what I have come up with this week.  Hasn’t been a good couple of weeks for me, what with moving craft room around and doing some classes, I somehow managed to damage my thing my jig and have had to have needles relieve the pain…………….well I hope it will, not that its happening yet.  Walking like an old lady and not happy at all.

By Barbara Williams | INKspired Blog Hop 11 | Wedding Carc

This card is better in real life, then is shown here, I have clear embossed the black cardstock using the Something Lacy Background Stamp, does add a little shine to it.  I love the stamp set called For the New Two, had used in class this week as my ladies wanted to make wedding cards.

Maybe I should just show you want we did in class, I like it much better.

See it below, now if I could have got away with using this one I would have.  Its much nicer in the gold embossing.

INKspired Blog Hop 10

Wow, can you believe yet another fortnight has rolled by, feels like it was only yesterday that we did our last hop.  If you have landed here, you have most likely come from the very talented Teneale Williams

Below is the sketch we were given to work with. Can I tell you, she is a hard act to follow and as she calls me Mumma Bear, well I can tell you Mumma Bear didn’t follow the sketch all that well and was sent to the corner until she got it write. lol

It was quite a difficult design and took me a little while to get my head around it.

Sketch 10

Come and see what you think.  I changed the star for an oval and the lace was the thin strip underneath the strip of which I scalloped instead of straight edges.

BlogHop 10 one

Once again I used my Blendabilities to colour the blossom out of the Indescribable Gift stamp set which is new in the new catalogue. Enjoy.

Moving forward, you are now off to visit the work of the new and up coming talented Janelle Taylor

INKspired Blog Hop Sketch 9

Welcome to the INKspired Blog Hop 9, the very first of this year. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. This year I spend the day with my baby sister and here family of 3 generations. For me this was Sister, Nieces nephew and their partners, great niece and her partner and Great Great Niece.

Here is this weeks challenge and if your come here from another blogger its most likely from Teneale Williams.

This is the Sketch we had to work with, I do hope you like what I am about to show you as my slant on this sketch.

Sketch 9

My choice of stamp set was from the new Occasions Catalogue, just released on the 6 January to 2 June 2015, I just love it.  There are so many gorgeous things to make in it.  I choose to use the beautiful stamp set on page 22 called “Sheltering Tree”  I can relate to this as I often feel like I am the tree that shelters everyone.  Anyway its a fun stamp set and I had a great time making it.

My ladies on Friday got to make this card…………..it bit sneaky really isn’t it, they make it before you got to see it.  It was interesting as they all changed the layout of their cards and we had 10 different versions of this image.

I used makers to colour the leaves, as this is a two step stamp set, we were able to stamp down the tree trunk first (must say, even the tree trunk is great on its own) we then coloured the leaves and stamped onto the tree.  Added a swing for a free spirit and then cut it into four to work within my sketch.  I used a strip along the bottom with the words “Friendship is a Sheltering tree” such a great stamp greeting to put on a card to that special friend.   .

Blog Hop 9 inside

I added the phase inside that said “thinking of you”, now how nice is that.  I do hope your enjoyed my card this week.

Now with great pleasure I am going to send you to Janelle Taylor, I just love Janelle’s work and when she comes to team training she always brings some great cards to show, so lets see what she has for you this week.

If you have arrived from Teneale’s Blog on the INKspired blog hop or just stopped by to see my latest creation, welcome to you all!

Below is this weeks challenge, which I enjoyed doing.  In fact I had done using the Newborn King stamp set using my blendablities, I just love using them and did you know next month when Sale-a-bration starts you can redeem your rewards for Blendabilities, now that’s a first.

INKspired Sketch 7 | Sunday 14th December | #INK007

Whilst it is only 11 days to Christmas I then decided to give you a sneak peak treat of what you could receive during Celebrations.  Cannot tell you the name of it, however I can tell you that it is triple stamping and I only had to use the one colour ink to create this gorgeous card.

Isn’t it de-vine?  don’t let triple stamping worry you, you can do it with the right instructions, so why don’t you book into one of my classes and I will have you triple stamping in no time at all.  Even a 5 year old can do it, well Ebony made me a birthday card using this set, and its amazing.  Want to see a picture of it?

Please put it in your diary, Sale-A-Bration begins in early January and for anyone who doesn’t know what it is, its a time when Stampin’ Up! Reward their customer by giving them a special item that cannot be bought for free when they spend $90 at the one time.  Does that make sense?

Next up is the amazing Janelle Taylor, I am always so excited to see that she creates.

Sunday 30 November 2014

Here is my spin on the challenge that made using the Ornamental Pine stamp set, I do hope you like it and don’t forget to leave a comment, we love comments.

Ornamental Pine - INKspired Blog Hop 6

I choose this stamp set as its super easy to use, you can produce lots of different designs using it, making a very versatile set if you’re on a tight budget.  (aren’t we all)

Firstly I stamped the ornament Pine branch in Versa Mark the embossed using Smokey Slate embossing power as i wanted to have a softer look to the branches.  Thing that was achieved, don’t  you?

The paper I chose was from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack down the side mounted onto Whisper White cardstock, then mounted onto Pool Party cardstock, finely trimmed to fit the front of my card.

The next part of the design was circle in the bottom right hand side with the addition of an accent to the left and to the right, is the right hand side was a star.  But hey it doesn’t have to be a star, could be whatever you want to do, what do you think?  Can you see how I incorporated my accent? Using the sentiment that comes with the set, I was able to emboss it with the Silver embossing power to give it a little pop.  you will notice that I carried of the Designer series paper here.

Hope you enjoyed this week’s card and get some inspiration to start creating some wonderful Christmas Cards.
