InkSpired Bloghop 96

Hi and welcome, I am here by the skin of my teeth, lets hope I get the post done.  We are on our 96 Blog hop.

Here is the sketch that we had to work with, I have to admit I liked it

I chose to use the Sweetest Thing stamp bundle,, I have had so much fun using it

I used my blends to color it and mounted it all.

Hope you like it, don’t forget you only have a month to order this because then it will be gone for ever.  I’m keeping mine.

Your now off to see what one of the new kids on the block has made for us.  Julie Martin

Bloghop 95

Hi and welcome to our bloghop, we have another new member hopping along today and I hope you go and make her feel welcome.  You might have come from Allison and I am excited to see what she has done with the Needlepoint Nook set..

Here is the sketch we had to work on this week.
I decided to use the beautiful papers from the Sweetest Thing Suite, love the vibrant colors and the fact that I was able to use the dies to cut the lolly jar from the paper as I was after a quick card for this hop, due to running classes all weekend.  wow how lucky am I that I have so many friends that love card making.

If you look at the sketch you will see that its suppose to have a bit of dangle down the middle, I decided to change this to make it a centre fold card.

No how cute is that, love it.

I did have a small problem with it closing, so put a magnet on the flap to close it.  Worked like a treat.

The inside I used two more of the cut outs from the papers. and the “Make it a Sweet celebration.

now your off to see what Julie had made for us, I am excited as this is Julies second hop.

Inkspired BlogHop 94

Hi and welcome to another InkSpired Bloghop, boy the weeks are rolling on, can you believe we are approaching Easter and then Anzac Day, however before that I have Teneale’s birthday, Easter, Terrianne Easter Sunday, so you might say I have a full month.

Here’s our sketch for this week.

From when I first saw this sketch I knew it would be a breeze.  I was able to use my favourite die on it, that’s the adorable little scallop die from the “Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.

I chose to use the Graceful Glass 6 x 6 Designer Vellum and colored on the back of it with Calypsol Coral Dark Blender and Dark Apple Green, then flipped them over and again colored with the darker shades, then used the lighter shade to get some shading happening.

Attached my vellum onto a piece of Whisper White which had been cut with the scallop on the bottom and I left a small edge on the top, then took a small strip of glitter paper, cut finely and attached above the scallop… All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack, contains the sweet ribbon trim, so wish I could have just bought that on its own, its so nice to use.

Using the stitched Rectangle Dies I cut out a piece in Flirty Flamingo and attached to Apple Green base, mounted onto thick Whisper White.

Hope I have inspired you to go coloring.

Now your off to visit Julie Martin, a new blog member, please leave her a message to give her some encouragement as she is very nervous.

BlogHop 93

Welcome and hop your had an enjoyable weekend, if your come from Alison’s blog I wonder what she has made for us.  Its always exciting to check out each others cards, its a way for us to grow and strengthen our skills.

This is the sketch that Teneale has given us to work with.  Personally I love sketch challenges and should do more of them, it also makes us stretch our imagination and create without copying other people.

I actually had forgotten about the blog hop, but had some stamps and dies sitting on my desk as I have classes on Friday, then combined classed with Teneale on Saturday and Sundays.  So needed to be thinking of what we are going to make.  Before bed, I was told that if you think your going out with your friends Mum, you need to let me know that your got your card made……………… how bossy is that.

Anyway I had loved the Dear Doily stamp and die set, which was one on my desk, I went to sleep thinking now I could quickly make a card with that, think it would fit the sketch.

I used the subtle embossing folder after I had stamped the blossom down one side.  I had taken my Stampin Write markers to the stamp.  I used Lemon Lime Twist and Powder Pink.

I then cut out the doily in powder pink and gray granite card stock as the strip down the side, trimmed with the beautiful dies from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.  I might tell you I only bought this set for that edge.  Now I love all the dies in the set……………its a keeper.

Here is the finished card, I told Teneale its a hot card, just like her Mumma…………………lol  I might add I wasn’t allowed to go play with my friends unless I had made it before I went out, so she could come and do my photography.  I am so so lucky that she looks after me so good.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Next your off to see what Teneale has made for you.  Your going to be blown out of your mind, its so beautiful.
