Blog Hop #31

SONY DSC

Well here we, are for the very last time this year with our 31st Blog Hop and I find it hard to believe that yet another year has managed to slide by me.

If you have started else where, you will have come from Kabrina who always inspires me, so wonder what she has done for us with the sketch that  Teneale has prepared for us.

13 December Blog Hop

I found this sketch to fit right into a class I had thought I would prepare for my last class of the year.  I wanted my cards to be simple but elegant, as special card that they would give to someone who appreciates the love that goes into each and every card that they make.

My initial thought, turned straight to the Embellished Ornaments Thinlits Dies and just how glamorous they would look using the Gold Foil Sheets along with Black Glimmer cardstock.

I wanted a bit of texture on my card front, so using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder achieved that designed effect.  Do you use your embossing folders to add texture, or ever colour?  Just so simple yet effective.

We have wonderful designer papers with the gold running through them and coupled with the Foil papers allowed me to quite simply make this card.  Now no card is complete without an inside, by just adding the foil to one side of my card finished it.

Next you are off to see what miss Teneale has done.

INKspired Blog Hop #30

Mum 29 nov line

Good morning and welcome to our 30th Blog Hop. We had the girls in last night to help put up the Christmas Tree and have a little party fun. It was lovely as Bailey had made our shopping list of what we were going to have for tea. Earlier in the day I had met her and her mum at the shops and she helped shop and then as we got closer to home, we rang Poppy to come out and help use carry it all in.  Teneale often laughs if she is with me and finds it amusing that I announce my arrival.

If your already started on the blog hop then your most likely arrive here from the famous Louise Sharp whom I am sure has wowed you again.

This is the image that we had to work with from our industrious leader Teneale, rather enjoyed creating my card and hope you enjoy.

29 November

Lets see what I have come up with, you will notice that I am using the Flurry of Wishes stamp set again.  This is the one set I had said I wouldn’t buy, think it was the last one that I hadn’t bought is more to the point.  Now I love it as its such an easy set to use in many different ways.

I used Lost Logoon as my base card and Pool Party as the card front, which had been embossed with that lovely Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, that I am so please is carrying over to the next mini catalogue what is coming out on the 3rd January………………………whose excited to get their hands on this new catalogue along with the Sale-a-Brations catalogue.

Flurry of Wishes

I used a water colour wash on my water colour paper to create a background, that was after I had embossed my images onto the water colour paper.  Left it to dry for quite a while, then cut to the side I needed and mounted it to whisper white card stock and trimmed.  Like the corners I used Corner Rounder, new in the Holiday Catalogue.  Such a kool tool to use.  I used the merry as my attachment of a circle and Velum as my stripe.

I am really pleased with this card and might just pop of an create another one or two, who wouldn’t enjoy receiving this in the mail.

Enjoy as your off to the super talented Teneale Williams and I wonder what she has in store for you.

Mum details of card

Hello and welcome to the INKspired Blog Hop 29, who’s counting how many more hops until Christmas?

All designs are set by Teneale has given us quite a challenge here.  You have most likely landed here from the super talented Louise Sharp.

Bloghop no 29

Interesting design, not sure that I followed it to a T, however here is my make on it.

Mum front of card

I chose to use the Furry of Wishes stamp set as it was sitting on my desk and never been inked up.  How many of you have a stamp set that’s never been inked up?  I bet lots of you, as Crafters we are our own best customers.  I had originally thought I would use Soft Sky as the basis to my card however was a tad worried that with clear embossing it might not show in my photo.

For the inside I used Lost Logoon ink and the smaller two of the stamp images.  I have given in and order the punch for them this week, did you know it’s in the weekly deals this week, finishing on Tuesday night if you wanted to order one.

Should you want to make your own card, here are the products that I used.

INKspired 28

Hello everybody, what a great weekend it has been. I spent Saturday at the Penrith Paper Craft show. Not buying much as we all know Stampin’Up! has the best inks, stamps and papers. Even better is that it all coordinates; I am happy to look at what is on show and then apply that to my projects.

Anyway enough of this idle chatter, let’s see what Teneale has for us. You have most likely landed from Kabrina’s page and I think she was doing a shaker card, bet it’s great and has given you inspiration for an upcoming project.

Bloghop 1 november

The aim for today was to make a card using 3 circles or 3 shapes of your choice.  I decided to go for tree’s mainly because I hadn’t used the Peaceful Pines and dies set.

I have used Mossey Meadow for my trees and Real Red as a trim around my card and the greeting is from the Wonderland, one of my favourite stamps in the Holiday Catalogue.

Hope your are enjoying your little hop around and don’t forget to leave a comment or two.

Next you’re off to visit Teneale who I have to say has made the most gorgeous Christmas Card that you are sure to love.

Wow 18 October and counting?  Whose counting?  Me for one, how quick has the year gone, on the down hill run now to Christmas.

Thinking of Christmas, when I wish upon a Star, makes no difference who you are……………now a bit of a song happening here, which didn’t happen when I went to make my card.  If your landed here you have most likely come from super talented and famous Louise Sharp who I am sure has wowed you with her creation.

Blog Hop 27

Now I didn’t even come close to a star or for that matter and Christmas card, however I did at least make it into a gorgeous card for my class on Friday morning.   Now that in itself is a great think.

As we are told colouring in is good for us and bearing that in mind I have been trying to up my skills and help my ladies relax somewhat by doing a colouring class and what better than being able to turn it into a card that you can send to someone.

Barbara Williams |Brair Rose | Stampin Up

Maybe 18 months ago I had bought the Brair Rose stamp to use, and up until today hadn’t even inked it up.  How bad is that.  I chose to use, Cherry Cobbler, Mint Maccaroon and Mossy Meadow as my three colours.  They turned out clean and fresh and by not being too heavy-handed with the cherry cobbler on the rose I was able to make them a lovely soft shade of soft cherry cobbler.

For the greeting the Petite Pairs fits beautifully in the bottom right and corner.

INKspired Artist Blog Hop 26

Here we go it’s a long weekend and John’s birthday so its been a busy day stamping on Saturday.  If your come from another blog your most likely arrived here from the super talented Louise  and I know that she will have blown you away with what she has created.  If your backed up your most likely come from another super talented person and that’s Teneale.  Wow I feel rather special today to have two talented artists around me.  Maybe it might rub off on me.

Enough ideal chatter, lets look at this sketch and see what we should do with it.  I for one rather liked it and once I have the colours I took off  like a rocket.

I choose to use the definitely Dahlia stamp set as I thought its a nice large stamp and if it was stamped down then it could be sliced in two.  Then looked for a sentiment that would go with it, come look at what I have done.

Definitely Dahlia | Word of TruthBarbara Williams | Stampin UP | Sydney |Definitely Dahlia | Word of Truth

I have two sisters and I wanted them to both know that I love them, as we get older we don’t often think to tell people that we care.   I choose to use the Words of Truth to tell them to Remember that I love them.

Blue and Pink

On the front I embossed the word “Remember” and on the inside I have put the words “I love you”.   Such a small sentence but for me a very important one, we don’t see each other lots as life is hectic and taken up with my off springs.

Now its time to nick over and see what Teneale has in store for you.  Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to leave a comment or two.  Actually I am not begging one,s fine.
