12 Weeks of Christmas Part 4

12 Weeks of Christmas With Barbara and Teneale Williams

Hard to believe that there are only 8 weeks until Christmas!  Can you believe it?  I know I am battling with it, if I think of classes, there are only 2 Saturdays and 2 1st Fridays.

This week we chose to use the Season Like Christmas, and not a colour that I often use, but is a real Christmas colour that’s Garden Green, but very pleased with the finished card.

I love the Merry Music Note Specialty Designer Paper, you can use it for many different cards, and if its the white it sponges so well.

And no card is complete without and inside:

Thank you for visiting and don’t forget to bounce to Teneale.

12 Weeks of Christmas Part 3

12 Weeks of Christmas With Barbara and Teneale Williams

Welcome to week three of our bouncing hop.  Love the set that we have chosen to use this week as the little houses remind us all of the just what its like to have a family and friends to share with.

For me, firstly a lovely friend of mine lost her husband after a long battle with his health.  My heart is sad for her, yet she will be ok because of family and friends.  See hearts do come home, love this set.

For me personally, it reminds me just how lucky I am to have my family and the love, sharing and caring that has happened this week for me personally reminds me of the true spirit of our hearts come home, not just for Christmas but also in times of stress.

My husband was rushed to hospital yesterday morning after having a seizure and then out to it for 40 minutes, thankfully he is ok and I was able to bring him home today.  Its the first time in 20 years that I felt like they knew what was happening to him.  Tonight in our little home, my family gathered to be grateful for that and to celebration a birthday of a special little girl, who turned 8 yesterday.

See hearts come home in good times and sad times, so again I think you will agree this is a great set.

No card is complete without an inside, so here it is.

Joy to the world, every day.  Love and am so very grateful for family and friends.

Thank you for visiting and don’t forget to bounce over to Teneale.

Santa’s Suit

12 Weeks of Christmas With Barbara and Teneale WilliamsHello and welcome to Week 2 of our little bouncing around.  Its been a rather productive week for me with me playing around with the new Blends, I was super excited to have them to use on this card.

Now how cute are the little Santa and his washing?  Its maybe a little hard to see but I used Soft Sky sponging and Crumb Cake to produce a background and strung the line between to old trees.

Santa is coloured in with the Cherry Cobbler Blend pen, they come in a light and a dark and as they are alcohol pens they blend together to get some nice shading happening.

Esad Casing Holiday Cattie

Hello and Welcome, if your started at another site it was most likely Rose Parker or if your started here, then you’re in for a treat with the ESAD 2017 Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop.

I know I am always excited to get a new catalogue into my hands and check up all the new stamps and dies.   I decided to only go with one stamp set and show you just how versatile it could be.

I chose to use traditional  colours of green and red, however I have been using non traditional at others times and will blog them later for you.

The set I used is called Every Good Wish, which is a very versatile one, let’s go look.

For this one I used the Be Merry and white embossed onto Real Red cardstock, cut out with the lots of Labels Framelit then mounted onto a piece of Whisper White cardbase that had been embossed with the Holly Embossing folder that had the leaves and berries coloured with markers before being put through the sizzix machine.  See the result below.

Again I used the Holly embossing folder but this time on old olive card stock, stamped the Peace Love and Joy on a piece of Whisper White and then cut out with the Lots of Labels Framelits, cutting an extra on in Real Red, cut in half and mount onto the back, then used markers to colour the holly and berry’s on the top and bottom of the sentiment.

Carried the small berry and holly inside of the card.

Who has had a play with the embossing paste?  Its so much fun and super easy to use, so used this as the background of the card and then just stamped and cut out oval using the layering ovals.

I then mounted the Red onto White and then mounted onto a old olive card base.

Now who doesn’t need a take to put on that special present at Christmas, use your Decorative Label punch, and your oval dies, little stamp and its done.

I do hope you enjoyed my cards and now your off to see what Jessie has made for you.

Bloghop 60

Welcome to the Inkspired Artists Blog Hop 60, if your come from another site, it will be my friend Maree and I wonder what she has made for us today.

I had a lot of fun making my card, I am sure your going to want to share in some of this fun.  Here is the sketch that Teneale has made for us.

Lets see if I have got it covered.  Stampin’ Up! are releasing a stamp set next month, as a demonstrator we can pre order, so I decided that I would give you a little view of what it is.

Its called Carols of Christmas and your going to just love it.

I took a piece of whisper white cardstock and embossed the greeting onto it using White embossing powder.   Then I inked up a stamp set called Marble, its a backgound stamp in Soft Sky, then using daubers I rubbed Dapper Denim, Elegant Eggplant, Rich Razzleberry and finally Night of Navy ink over the stamp randomly.

I then stamped it down on my piece of whisper white card front that I had embossed on.  After stamping it down you need to have a soft cloth to run over the card and take the ink off the white to allow it to pop.

Then I used one of the dies to cut out the Stars and Moon, I put Silver Glimmer paper behind after attached a piece of shimmery white cardstock that had a wash of light grey over it.  pleased this behind the moon.

I then mounted it onto a night of navy card stock trimmed with ribbon and added a silver strip, cut from the dies in this set.

Now you off to see what Teneale has made for you.
